These juicy red apricots are yours when you check-in at the Shangrila (Heaven on Earth) Hotel at the Lower Katchura Lake, Skardu. No words can describe how fortunate I am to taste these fruits. Apricots are like gold in this Baltitan Region (Little Tibet). Apricots are everywhere. Apricots are like Bananas in Malaysia. You can find every house with their own apricot trees. The Balti People even dried these apricots and make apricot soups in winter!
