Quetta: Three people including two policemen have been killed and twelve injured in acts of target killings in Balochistan.

In Quetta one policeman was killed and four other injured when motorcyclists opened fire on them in Samungli road area. The injured have been rushed to the civil hospital in Quetta.

In another incident of target killing unknown gunmen on motorcycles shot dead a police constable in Mastung district of Balochistan, which followed a target killing of a civilian in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta.

Eight people have been injured in hand grenade attack on Chakar Khan Road in Khuzdar. Police say militants hurled a hand grenade at a shop that left eight injured.

In all these incidents the militants managed to escape and no arrest has been made. A sense of insecurity prevails among the people. -DawnNews

KARACHI: Four MQM-Haqiqi activists were shot dead and another one was wounded critically when unidentified gunmen riding on a motorbike opened fire on a taxi on Tipu Sultan road on Wednesday.

Waseem Ahmed Capital City Police Officer Karachi, told DawnNews that unidentified gunmen fired on a taxi near the Tipu Sultan traffic signal and fled after killing the four men.

Bodies of the deceased and injured were taken to the Jinnah Hospital, where one of the deceased was identified as Advocate Sohail Anjum, an advisor of MQM leader Afaq Ahmed.

Area police said that these victims were returning to their homes after attending court proceedings.

Ferozabad police have registered a case connection and investigations are underway.

PESHAWAR: A bomb attack in a restive Pakistani tribal area on Wednesday destroyed a tanker carrying fuel for Nato forces in Afghanistan, officials said.

The bomb planted under the oil tanker exploded near Parangsum village in the lawless Khyber tribal district, turning the vehicle into a huge ball of flame, administration official Shafirullah Wazir said. There were no casualties.

“The bomb was fixed to the tail end of the tanker with a magnet and the explosion burnt some 40,000 litres (8,800 gallons) of fuel it was carrying for Nato forces in Afghanistan,” Wazir told AFP.

Balochistan: Two Nato tankers were attacked by unidentified men in Kalat town and Dhadar area in Balochistan, leaving three people injured.

Police say unknown armed men on motorcycles opened fire on Nato tanker and injured two persons.

The injured persons have been shifted to civil hospital Kalat for medical treatment. The doctors described the condition of one of the injured as serious.

Police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.

In the Dhadar area of Bolan district incident, one person got injured when armed men fired on a Nato tanker.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the two Nato tanker attacks. – DawnNews

KARACHI: One person was killed while four others were injured when an explosion took place in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar on Tuesday.

According to DawnNews, one woman was killed while another one was injured along with two children when the blast took place.

The injured have been shifted to Karachi Civil Hospital.

The blast occurred in a garbage dump located close to a police station.
