Selepas 43 Hari: Ucapan Terima Kasih!
DUBAI, Oct 24 (Bernama) — After more than 40 days in the police lock-up here, PECD LLC senior manager Zainal Adnan Khairuddin was released when the court dropped the case against him following a settlement between the parties concerned.
Zainal, 39, was charged with signing two company cheques which were subsequently dishonoured.
His lawyer, Ali Mohammad Tamim, said the court made the ruling under a clause in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) law which stated that if the parties reached a settlement the court would drop the case.
“In this case the ruling was based on the settlement letter from Kele Contracting,” he told Bernama after the court proceedings Tuesday.
Zainal’s case was first brought before the court on Sept 23 and the case was postponed to Tuesday pending a settlement between PECD and Kele Contracting.
He had signed the two cheques for one million dirham (about RM938,000) each as the second signatory, in his capacity as PECD LLC senior manager (finance) in Dubai.

Dear friends
Our beloved friend, Sdr Shahrol Nizam Yusoff (Class of 93) has passed away this morning at 6 at him home in Ampang. I am still in Vietnam and have been calling but his neighbour confirmed the news, the jenazah will be taken to Pokok Sena this afternoon.
Maybe those who want the information can try to contact Dr Azlan Majid (Class of 94) or Syahril Nizam Jumaili (Class of 93) – you would have their no’s, to find out the arrangement.
Allahyarham is the closest I have to a brother in koleq and the last time I met him was one week before Raya, when we and a few close friends from koleq had a potluck bukak puasa at my place. His family is still young with 3 kids – most of us are still trying to make sense of this.
I should be back by this petang so I should get more details – please feel free to call by then.

dah nak raya ni tetiba teringat kenangan berpuasa kat kuale 🙂
masa tahun 1994, kitaorang pasang lampu lip-lap tu kat big school.
dalam gelap kepakatan malam, memang lawa sungguh overfloor (or overflow?) dengan cahaya lampu lip-lap tuh. hehehehehheheh. lima tahun merantau di kuale. berpuasa di kuale. sememangnya meninggalkan kenangan yang tidak bisa dijelaskan dengan kata2. huhuhuhuhu
