Man U Win Champions League Final !

Manchester United won the Champions League 2008, defeating Chelsea in the final at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium on Wednesday night.

The game was decided via a penalty shootout, which United won 6-5.

The teams were 1-1 at the end of the second half, and the deadlock could not be broken in 30 minutes of extra time.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard scored in the final minute of the first half.

It was after United went ahead with Cristiano Ronaldo’s header in the 26th minute.

This is United’s third win in the elite club competition. They had won it in 1968 and 1999. They dashed Chelsea’s hopes to win it for the first time.

The ‘race’ between Anwar and Dr Mahathir could well see Abdullah edging past at the finish line.

MALAYSIA’s King Lear exits stage left.

“Die-lah, Karim. Pak Lah has declared war on Dr M.” Not bothering even to say hello, the man spoke quickly. His voice was low and it was clear that he’d been drinking.

“What to do, my friend?” he asked.

“Nothing-lah, Datuk. We just wait. We watch carefully and see what happens.”

“But Dr M is using the race card. This is not good. Nanti we all hancur. We all kena!”

“Datuk it had to come to this. This isn’t about Pak Lah. There’s unfinished business. It’s about ’98: it’s about Anwar and Dr M but if they’re not careful Pak Lah will be the one who pulls through.”

Dr Mahathir isytihar keluar Umno

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad

TUN Dr Mahathir Mohamad secara terbuka mengumumkan keluar daripada Umno sebagai protes kepada keengganan Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi meletak jawatan sebagai Perdana Menteri dan mengajak ahli lain keluar parti bersamanya.

Bagaimanapun beliau menasihatkan ahli yang keluar Umno tidak menyertai parti lawan dan masuk semula Umno apabila Abdullah meletak jawatan.
